How these rankings work
Each use case is defined by: (1) the brand-meta tags a brand must carry (e.g. Outdoor, Eco), (2) the product categories that matter for that use (e.g. Jackets + Pants for hiking), and (3) which composite score to rank by. The page filters our brand registry, queries the relevant products in Supabase, averages the rank score per brand, and sorts.
A minimum of 3 products per brand in the relevant categories is required — single-product comparisons don't reliably rank brands. See the methodology and limitations for the full scoring details.
